Dijon is the capital city of the historical Burgundy region in eastern France, one of the country’s principal wine-making areas. It is also the gateway to one of the most prestigious vineyards of France: the Côte de Nuits and its world-class wines. It’s known for its traditional mustard, vineyard tours, autumn gastronomic fair and building styles ranging from Gothic to art deco.
Both modern and historic, Dijon is one of the most popular cities in Burgundy for tourists. Its pedestrian city center makes walking pleasant, and you can discover most of the city in one day.
