Summer Reading Program 2026: Plant a Seed, Read

Read to grow ideas that nourish your mind.

#

Get ready to dive into a summer of reading adventures with the Patch Library's Plant a Seed, Read Summer Reading Program! 📚☀️

Plant a Seed, Read is rooted in the concept of farm-to-table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology.

Mark your calendars for our soft launch on June 9 and official kick-off on June 18!

Patrons are welcome to stop by for the soft launch to pick up a T‑shirt and ask any questions they may have for the staff. We’ll kick off the first week with a Harry Potter theme and offer a flower‑pot glazing activity along with a Harry Potter–themed escape room. Each week, we’ll also host activities and scavenger hunts.

But wait, there's more! Our program runs all the way through August 14, culminating in an exciting wrap Patch-Con party and another escape room you won't want to miss - and another escape room called "Hawkins Recreation Department" (think Stranger Things!).

Our goal this year is to reach one million minutes logged!

Don't miss out on the summer fun—join us at Patch Library for an unforgettable reading journey! 🎉📖
