Note: This event has already passed.

“Eagle’s Nest” (Kehlsteinhaus) was built as a teahouse for Adolf Hitler on Kehlstein Mountain at an elevation of 6,017 ft / 1,834 m for his 50th birthday. Its unusual position made it a unique engineering feat. What few realize is that Hitler’s home (the Berghof) and southern headquarters – his second seat of power – were located on Obersalzberg, at the foot of the Eagle’s Nest Mountain. Starting with a brief account of Hitler's life, the bus takes you up steep mountain roads to Obersalzberg, a tiny community above Berchtesgaden.

After a historical tour of such an amazing mountain peak, enjoy the views. Reflect on the beautiful views of the Bavarian Alps, spend some time hiking around the area, looking for inspiration and being thankful we can enjoy these views together and take an opportunity to enjoy the crisp air and the opportunity to be up in the Bavarian Alps.

After enjoying such a gorgeous sight, it is time to get transferred to the gorgeous city of Berchtesgaden. The picture-book village of Berchtesgaden, Germany, is full of tourists and almost too cute, but so what! The alpine setting is gorgeous and the history is fascinating, so it's definitely worth the trip. The best thing here is to enjoy the charming, mountain-village ambiance. Stroll through the winding streets lined with pastel buildings decorated with "Luftmalerei" paintings, browse the wood carvings and Bavarian clothes in the shops, and stop at one of the many cafes with outdoor seating to enjoy Bavarian specialties and beer, or Kaffee und Kuchen (pastries). Wind down your day with a stroll down the quiet streets or gazing at sunset setting behind the famous Watzmann mountain ridge.
