Paris in the Spring Express

See Paris come alive in the Spring!

Note: This event has already passed.

Ever wondered about the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower?  Is the Mona Lisa all it’s cracked up to be?  Do the gargoyles come alive at the top of Notre Dame?  And what is Champs-de-Elysees all about?    Have you been trying to get to Paris to check all of this out but have not found the time or a way to get there?  How about a trip where someone else takes care of the transportation and all you have to do is soak up the ambiance and Parisian culture?  Sounds too good to be true?

Join Outdoor Recreation for a day of sightseeing and exploring one of Europe’s greatest cities – Paris!  We will depart at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning via commercial bus heading to Paris, France.  With world-famous sights such as the Eiffel Tower (Tower de Eiffel), Napoleon’s Tomb, the Louvre Museum, Musee D’Orsay, Champs-Elysees, the twin towers of Notre Dame de Paris, the Panthenon, and many others. You will be spoiled for choice on which to see in the ‘City of Light’.  Many attractions and sights offer ticket sales in advance if you want to really get the most out of your day.  Or you can take the relaxing approach and enjoy a café or a glass of good wine in one of the many cafés followed by a walk or scenic river cruise on the Siene River, with no pre-planned schedule or tour guide to follow. You are free to explore ‘the most romantic city in the world’ as you wish.  Whether you want to go for adventure, culture, art, or just to bask in the ‘French life’. Paris has something for everyone.

Everyone has their own version of what is a ‘must see’ or ‘must do’ in Paris.  While free advice is always a good thing, take some time to plan out what you want to see and do while in Paris.  Download a free travel guide to your phone or tablet in advance from the Army Libraries website (https://army.overdrive.com/) and make this trip your own.
