Nuremberg & Imperial Castle Tour

The Imperial Castle is a stone testimony to the medieval power of the emperors and kings who resided here during their visits. The castle merges almost seamlessly into the city fortifications. With its towers, battlements and expansive bastions, the city wall was not only used for defense, but also offered space for the staging of baroque fireworks and was the location of an observatory of international standing. The tour shows the building and cultural history of the mighty city wall and the extensive castle complex. In the castle, the imperial rooms in the Palas and the double chapel from the Romantic period can be viewed. 
After your tour of the castle, enjoy free time to explore the Old Town on your own OR explore the Deep Well, the Sinwell Tower and an extensive collection of weapons and implements could be visited individually after the tour (included in the Castle entry fee).
