The Murph Challenge

Heading into the memorial day weekend, Stuttgart Sports and Fitness is conducting the Murph Challenge in honor Navy Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who lost his life in action during a fierce firefight in Afghanistan and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, becoming the first Navy sailor to earn the highest US military decoration since the Vietnam War.
Units in USAG Stuttgart will meet on Husky Field to conduct this intense challenge that include:
The Murph Challenge consists of:
- A one-mile run
- 100 pull-ups
- 200 push-ups
- 300 air squats
- and another one-mile run
The goal is to complete the challenge within an hour. The first 50 participants will receive an event t-shirt.
Registration Information
Register at any Fitness center May 1 - 24. Same day registration will be available.

Kelley Fitness Center

Cardio Loft and Basketball Court will be closed from 1 p.m. on May 15 until 5 p.m. on May 16 due to a fitness event. Weight Rooms and Nautilus Room will be closed only during the event.

Panzer Fitness Center Gymnasium will be closed starting 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Apr. 27 through Monday, May 5 (time TBD) in support of the Spring Bazaar. Unmanned Access will not be impacted. Please be aware that parking will be limited during this time.
