HEART Global: Empowering Youth Through Music and Arts

HEART Global is a dynamic three-day workshop focused on music and performing arts education for youth ages 7-18. Participants will engage in an intensive experience that concludes with an exciting live musical performance. This event, hosted by USAG Stuttgart, brings together students to learn and showcase their talents in a collaborative musical concert featuring various music styles, dance routines, lighting effects, stage design, costumes, and props.

Highlights:

• Three-day intensive musical and performing arts workshop for youth.
• Culminates in a two-hour live community musical performance.
• Students learn to create and perform a diverse musical concert with dance, lighting, costumes, and more.
• Prior history includes hosting the event five times, with participants exceeding 100 (maximum 158).

This Year's Workshop:

• Dates: October 4-6, 2024 (Friday to Sunday)
• Tentative Schedule:
  • Friday: 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: Rehearsal 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., Show 5 - 7 p.m.  
  • Sunday's show is split into two parts:
    • 1-hour Heart Global Cast
    • Followed by Heart Global cast with workshop participants (estimated 100-150 participants).

The HEART Global Workshop will take place at the Stuttgart High School Gymnasium, Panzer Kaserne. 

CYS SKIES is actively recruiting host families. We have provided details about hosting duties for HEART Global in the links below. As of Oct. 15, CYS SKIES is looking to accommodate 14 young individuals, and warmly welcome host families who are willing and able to accommodate one, two or more youths into their homes. Your generous support can make a significant difference in the lives of the HEART Global staff and the workshop.
