We're kicking off our three-part ALToberfest series with a tour of the world's oldest monastic brewery- Weltenburg Abbey! First, you'll board a ferry for a stunningly gorge-ous ride through the deepest and narrowest part of the Danube Gorge. The 80-meter tall cliffs tower above you on scenic river ride to the Abbey. Weltenburg is famous for its dark dunkel beer, but you'll have a chance to find your favorite brew during a brewery tour and beer tasting. After the tour, enjoy lunch at the Abbey and explore the moastery grounds.
Cost
$169 per person
Price includes bus transportation, round-trip ferry though the Danube Gorge, English guided tour of Weltenburg Abbey and a beer tasting.
