Join the Patch Arts and Crafts Center for an exciting Annual Mini Quilt Challenge!
Participants are invited to create a 24"x24" quilt using a select set of four fabrics, all available for purchase at the Patch Arts and Crafts Center. All four fabrics must be visible in the completed mini quilt.
Quilting guidelines:
- Finished mini quilts should measure 24x24 inches square.
- Mini Quilts must include some of all designated fabrics, but may include other fabrics.
- Mini Quilts must be quilted through 3 layers by hand, by machine or both.
- Challenge fabrics will be available for purchase Jan. 15 - Jun. 15.
- Entrants are limited to one quilt per person.
- Entries can be turned into the Patch Arts and Crafts Center as soon as completed but will not go on display until Jun. 1.
- Entries will be accepted after Jun. 1 and up until panel judging on Jul. 1.
- Completed quilts will be proudly displayed at the Patch Arts and Crafts Center from Jun. 1 to Jul. 1.
- There will be two winners. One visitor’s choice award based on customer voting between Jun. 1-30 and one winner from a panel of judges.
- Two winners will receive a plaque commemorating their win and a basket of quilting items.
- Winning quilts will be displayed at the USAG Stuttgart 4th of July event.
- Mini quilts will be returned at the conclusion of the contest.
- Open to all USAG Stuttgart Patch Arts and Crafts Center eligible customers.
Cost
To enter the challenge, quilters must purchase four pre-selected Fat Quarters. Fat Quarters will be heavily discounted (4 for $6). Quilters may use a much or as little of the designated Fat Quarters as desired, but all four fabrics must be represented/visible in some form or fashion.
