Trier is the oldest city at the head of the scenic Mosel valley, near the border with Luxembourg. An ancient Roman capital, Trier was inhabited by Celts 1300 years before Rome existed. Founded by Augustus in 16 BC, a former Roman imperial residence. Trier is filled with former Roman sites and architecture, roman baths, an amphitheater that seated 16000 people. So much history to explore!
