Calling all artistic youth of USAG Stuttgart! We invite you to participate in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s (BGCA) Local + National Arts Contest, a comprehensive initiative promoting young people’s creativity, and encouraging artistic skills and cultural enrichment. All art forms welcome!

AGE DIVISIONS:

• Ages 6-9

• Ages 10-12

• Ages 13-15

• Ages 16-18

THEMES:

Youth are encouraged to express their creativity by exhibiting their work for judging in local and national competitions using one of the following contest themes:

• Setting Expectations – Being Your Best Self

• Speaking Up – Youth Voice & Leadership

• Social Justice Through the Arts

• Wellness Inside and Out – Personal and Community Wellbeing

LOCAL JUDGING: All submissions due Feb. 10 to your local teen center (Patch Youth Center or Panzer Youth Center). Team members there will assist you in submitting your art. Local judging will take place Feb. 13-17th, 2023.

NATIONAL JUDGING: As a participant in the National Arts Contest, the USAG Stuttgart Youth Centers may submit members’ artwork in any art form. A limited number will be submitted to BGCA’s Atlanta headquarters for judging at the national level. National Best in Show artists will receive engraved plaques from BGCA President and CEO Jim Clark. Finalists will receive a certificate of participation.

WINNERS: Only 16 winners (4 categories/4 age groups) will receive a certificate of merit and be submitted to the national contest.
