Family day at Burg Frankenstein offers scary fun for the whole family to enjoy! The Frankenstein Castle sets up the Halloween experience little less scary and a bit tamer (and it is during the day!). However, we strongly suggest no kids under the age of 7. 

There isn’t any trick or treating up here, but there is a plethora of themed food and drinks to choose from. Rest assured, the characters have a “no touch” policy with the children but still offer the kids a fun and scary experience!

We encourage attendance in costume attire but keep in mind safety concerns and traveling to and from Darmstadt (about a 2 hour ride each way) on the bus.  There are restrictions to personnel entering the event and they will not allow any costumes with points/spikes, nor will they allow accessories that deem unsafe or depicting weapons (sticks, swords, knives, bats, etc.).

Trip includes transportation on German Motor Coach and entrance tickets.

Bus departs ODR at 12 p.m. and returns around 7 p.m.

Note: due to the detail and complexity of the costumes and shows, this trip is not recommended for children 7 years and under. 

You only need to bring euros for drinks and souvenirs and we suggest dressing warmly since you will be outside a good portion of the time.

Registration Information

To register for any of our trips or tours, please come by our office on Panzer Kaserne or give us a call during normal business hours (Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.). All participants must be 18 years old to attend event/trip/tour by oneself. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. All trips are subject to change. Trips may be cancelled due to lack of participation.

Minimum participation must be met by Monday, October 23, 2017.  If minimum participation is reached, then registration is open until trip is full.
